Leaky faucet? Tangled shoelaces? With any problem, there is one place to begin: Go to the source. When the Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (BIVI) Swine division came to us for assistance, we did just that.

Since 2013, the porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) virus has been a major disruption to the U.S. pork industry. As a leader in swine health, BIVI wanted to provide pig farmers and veterinarians with information to help them diagnose, control and manage this disease.

How? We launched SOURCE, a go-to website for PED information and management with six key components: State the desired goal, Obtain the current status, Understand risks, Reduce risks, Construct solution options, and finally, Execute and monitor solutions. This is SOURCE.

Supported by an integrated promotional strategy including banner ads, native ads and search components, as well as a presence at the 2015 World Pork Expo, SOURCE reached out to its target audience.

Since then, this model has proven to be so effective that the SOURCE web platform is now in an expansion process, which will include information on porcine reproductive and respiratory disease (PRRS), as well as other diseases. Together, we will continue to position BIVI as the SOURCE for swine health.
