New leaders will spearhead the agency’s growing presence in Charlotte, N.C. and Portland, Ore.

broadhead, an employee-owned data-driven creative agency powering brands that transform how we eat, move and live, today announced the strategic hiring of two managing directors — Kelley Briggs and Jaime Komitor — as well as the opening of new office spaces in Charlotte and Portland. The agency’s growth in both markets follows the acquisitions of HMH Agency and Fame in 2022.

“Our expansion in Charlotte and Portland, coinciding with the addition of Jaime and Kelley, represents our commitment to attracting extraordinary talent as well as elevating our ability to serve clients, coast-to-coast.” said Dean Broadhead, CEO. “We’re bullish on both markets and excited about what the future holds.”

The upgraded, recently renovated 6,500 square-foot office space in Charlotte is one mile west of the agency’s previous location. Features include multiple conference rooms, a workshop, kitchen and bar, mothers’ room and outdoor patio overlooking Uptown Charlotte. Briggs, previously chief operating officer at MKR in Indianapolis, will lead the Charlotte team as executive vice president, managing director and serve on the agency’s executive committee. Her experience in talent optimization and operational efficiency will aid broadhead in deepening its employee and client roster along the East Coast.

“I’m so pleased to join the team at broadhead,” said Briggs. “The alignment with my own personal values of community, candor and compassion makes the transition feel natural. I plan to leverage my background to grow the Charlotte office in two ways: expanding our visibility in the market as a full-service agency in three time zones and by attracting talent.”

Located in the Pearl District, broadhead’s new Portland office is in the former R/GA agency office and features three floors, two outdoor decks, a basement studio and bike parking. Komitor joins the team as executive vice president and managing director of the Portland office. Previously, Komitor served as senior vice president of client services and project management at WPP’s social agency, Swift. With his deep background in social and digital, Komitor will support talent recruitment and lead the agency’s expansion in the west.

“Being an independent agency really set broadhead apart for me, paired with their category expertise, strategy and data chops,” said Komitor. “There’s already a great foundation in place in Portland. The culture is ambitious, smart and collaborative. I’m committed to building upon it and fostering an employee experience that helps people thrive here — setting us up to deliver even stronger work for our clients.”

“Both Kelley and Jaime bring an extraordinary depth of experience in client management, talent development, mentorship, industry relationships and a steady force for culture during rapid agency growth,” said Broadhead. “We look forward to their leadership as we grow our presence in Charlotte and Portland.”

broadhead plans to officially unveil the new offices later this year with grand openings in each location.
