Who doesn't love a juicy red California strawberry? The team at broadhead has an even bigger reason to make strawberries their fruit of choice: The agency was awarded the consumer public relations business for the California Strawberry Commission.
"We received a high level of interest from agencies around the country," says Chris Christian, senior vice president of the California Strawberry Commission. "Ultimately, broadhead brought a unique focus and excitement for what we are trying to accomplish, along with a keen understanding of how to connect consumers to California strawberry farmers."
California strawberry farmers produce 90 percent of the strawberries grown in the United States. The California Strawberry Commission represents all California strawberry farmers, shippers and processors, and is tasked with promoting the benefits of eating California strawberries — a favorite fruit for American consumers.
"We champion the connection of urban + rural, and nothing unites us more than food," says Dean Broadhead, CEO of broadhead. "We're excited to work with the great team at California Strawberries, and look forward to helping build relationships between their farmers and consumers."
