Longtime agency partner Troy Schroeder acquires fast-growing, go-to-market solutions firm

Minneapolis-based marketing agency broadhead has sold Clutch Performance, its go-to-market consulting and training group, to longtime agency partner and current Clutch president, Troy Schroeder.

Founded in 2014 to diversify the offerings of the agency in the areas of business consulting and training, Clutch had quickly grown into an independent operating unit with potential client overlap, to the point that Schroeder and broadhead CEO Dean Broadhead saw its real potential as a focused, independent company.

"We hold two core beliefs for our business and our people: focus + opportunity; and one leads to the other," says Broadhead. "As successful as Clutch has been inside our walls, we believe it will expand even more quickly outside them. Not to mention, it fulfills a longtime goal of my friend and colleague."

Instrumental to Clutch's growth since its founding, Schroeder will continue to focus the business on revenue generation, go-to-market strategic consulting, and training for companies in the agriculture and food spaces, from production to retail. But he's quick to add that as client opportunities evolve within Clutch's focus, so will its services.

Joining Schroeder on the Clutch management team will be Steve Koep, partner and agribusiness practice lead; Malorie Drugg, director of client services; and Dave Miller, food business practice lead. Clutch will maintain offices at 401 North First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.
